Replaced a 40gal electric water heater for a little under $2k. Attic location was not difficult to reach or work in and the work was not urgent, it was scheduled 4 days out. Other sources place a reasonable amount at $1,200-1,500. I felt the price was too high but tired of others who were either higher or didn’t return calls. I ate the upcharge and they did good work.
